Caina & Tony wanted to get married outdoors, rather than the traditional way in the UK. They were not put off by current English legislation (There has to be a roof at least for which a hefty fee has been paid to the council to “licence it”) which meant this beautiful ceremony would not be considered legally binding, as it was going to be their day (they did the legal bit beforehand). They chose Inter-Faith Minister Janette to conduct their wedding ceremony.
This is just few seconds of the wedding ceremony, showing the Element of Air in the fun bubbles ; such a beautiful idea too.
Right from the start when they were getting ready, they showed their love, as Tony struggled to place the necklace round Caina’s neck:

Such love!

Earth - the element and the smell of a hyacinth - gave Caina the strength to live - so a seemingly small thing such as this, plays a major role in their wedding ceremony
A simple gesture of love during Caina and Tony's outdoor winter wedding ceremony .
A really deep and meaningful wedding ceremony with Inter-Faith Minister Janette
Little candles in their holders, sweet liquid and sour lemons, and the four elements of earth, air fire and water, make this outdoor wedding ceremony in the middle of winter in the woods by a lake, truly emotional.
Even bitter moments that make up life, can be shared, in hope of sweet ones to follow...

Happy smiles from our Asian bride photographed by a borrowed wedding car!
There’s a story behind this wedding photo. The bride didn’t book a wedding car, so her photographer took her bridesmaids from the hotel to Leeds Register Office, and chauffeured them all back to the hotel in two trips in the evening. Both the bride and groom had lost their previous partners, so with 5 children of her own and two of her new husbands, hiring a limo was a luxury they sadly decided to forgo. Then their wedding photographer spotted the car, all on its own while, parked up while waiting for its officially hired bride to come out of the register office in Leeds, and decided to be cheeky! A quick plea from the driver and the borrowed car became the focus of this photo shoot! Happy , happy happy! That’s how we like our brides! xx Elaine
The Chinese couple from this wedding at Weetwood Hall chose just posed group pictures out of well over 1000 images they had to choose from so thought I’d re-dress the balance by showing some I would definitely recommend they chose for their wedding album… no pressure of course though to accept my recommendations! Their wedding reception was held at Maxis in Leeds – a grand 12 course traditional Chinese Banquet – where the bride changed from her champagne-coloured wedding dress into a variety of Chinese costumes, in colours ranging from traditional Chinese red to a shimmering amber and even a regal outfit in purple. The ritual tea ceremonies were wonderful to behold too: all in all a fabulous wedding!

Michelle & Keiron’s wedding was very different from the normal mixture of posed family groups and reportage pictures that make up most weddings. Starting at the bride’s house full of mirrors and black and white with red walls in the boudoir, I knew we were in for a fun day. Michelle and I had never met in person till that moment – but had got to know each other through lively descriptions of her family life by email, the first of which arrived when I was in Egypt back in February this year.
Michelle’s highly confident and fun little boys are the light of her life … They even gave her away and during the wedding reception did a double act delivering the funniest wedding speeches ever!
Michelle had a burlesque hen night so was not shy of showing off her lovely figure and flamboyant but practical wedding boots.
The vicar – Father Paul – at Mill Hill Unitarian Chapel in Leeds is no stranger to the media, as used to work for the BBC, so he was happy for the Jorge and me to move around during the service to get a good variety of shot. The whole emphasis being on making the bride and groom’s day. They even sat round chatting and drinking champagne in church with the guests after the ceremony!
