Signed wedding at Waterton Park Hotel near Wakefield

This was my first ever wedding where 50-70% of the guests communicated using their hands and their vibrant facial expressions. Martin & Leanne’s vows – instead of being spoken – were expressed visually with flying hands and dramatic gestures, transmitted for those who like me do not know how to sign, by an official sign language interpreter who also speaks standard English!
Every other aspect of the wedding was filled with exuberance, as apart from lack of auditory speach, these guys had it all!
Talking of speach, the wedding speeches were very different as both the bride and groom, best man and ushers all communicate with powerful sign language -rather different for the videoman to capture!
He would need to capture both the signing and the Interpreter so needed to be everywhere at once!
The groom dramatically signs his wedding speech, giving such an emotional performance, that the signing translator was hardly needed for the hearing guests. Plenty of laughs too!
Leanne and Martin had researched their wedding very well indeed so even though I couldn’t direct using sound like I normally do, they just arranged everything exactly how THEY wanted, which was brilliant!
